Cheppaud

 

Cheppaud is a village in Karthikapally taluk of Alleppy district in Kerala state, India. It lies about half way distance between Cochin and Trivandrum.

 

Cheppaud is inhabited by a predominant Hindu community. The Christian community is the second largest one. Almost all denominations of Christian faith can be found here. There is no documentary evidence to establish the arrival of Christian community to this place. However, their is evidence that one of the churches visited by Arch Bishop Menasis in 1599 A.D was Cheppaud Jacobite Church (Valiyapally)
