St. George Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church

A small church located in a beautiful village

known as "CHEPPAUD" in Alappuzha district of

Kerala state of Republic of India.

It is a family church of the two prominent Christian families

of that village :

KARIMPANACKAL & NJAPPALLIL

Founded in 1924.

St. George Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church at Cheppaud belongs to

the Universal Syriac Orthodox Church

under

the Patriarch of Antioch and all the East.

In India it is in Niranam diocese of

Malankara Archdiocese of Universal Syriac Orthodox Church

(Malankara Jacobite Syrian Christian Church)
